Abramovich's 7th Child Born in New York
Billionaire Roman Abramovich has become a father for the seventh time.
A daughter named Leah Lou was born to Darya Zhukova on April 8, news reports said.
"The mother and daughter are doing well. She was delivered last Monday in New York," a family friend told RIA-Novosti.
Speculation that Zhukova, 31, might give Abramovich, 46, a second child had swirled over the winter when a photo surfaced of a possibly pregnant Zhukova. British tabloids have also noted that Abramovich's $1.5 billion luxury yacht, the Eclipse, has been anchored in New York for the past two months.
With her birth in New York, Leah Lou will join the couple's son, Aaron Alexander, in becoming a U.S. citizen. Aaron Alexander was born in 2009 in Los Angeles.
Zhukova, who holds a British passport, was born in Moscow but grew up in Santa Barbara, California. She is a fashion designer, a magazine editor and and head of the Garage arts center in Moscow.
Abramovich, the owner of the British football club Chelsea with an estimated fortune of $14.6 billion, divorced his second wife, Irina, in 2007 after 16 years of marriage. She reportedly received a record divorce settlement of more than $1 billion and lives with her two sons and three daughters — Ilya, Arina, Sofia, Arkady and Anna — in a mansion in West Sussex, Britain.
