Joshua Decker, DPM | Podiatric Care in Grand Rapids, MI
Dr. Decker is a Grand Rapids native who first was drawn to podiatry through a personal experience that solidified the importance of quality care and pain management options. His educational background includes a degree in Psychology from Calvin College in Michigan, followed by a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Decker then completed a 3-Year Advanced Surgical Residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University and an AO Fellowship under Sigvard T. Hansen, M.D. at Harborview Medical Center.
Dr. Decker’s residency offered him Level 1 Trauma experience, and he currently serves as Chief of Podiatry at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.
While Dr. Decker’s education and professional experience have paved the way for his podiatry career, his personal link to the profession is substantial. His passion for podiatry developed as he watched his father, Dr. William Decker, work in his practice serving patient after patient. His inspiration led to Dr. Decker volunteering his time during the summer months at a free clinic in Honduras. He utilizes his educational, professional, and personal experience to provide quality care to each of his patients.
