How to beat the Arachno-Gauntlets in Kill It With Fire Ignition
In Kill It With Fire, the biggest fear for many people is realized when you have to try your best to get rid of pesky arachnids from flying around your room. There are lots of them, but you have plenty of equipment and weapons to help you get the job done.
These are the most important when approaching the game’s Arachno-Gauntlets. These timed challenges in the game’s two levels require you to kill a certain amount of spiders within a set time limit. For the first level First Contact, you must kill 20 spiders in a minute, while you have to take down 40 spiders in the second level, Close Encounters.
For these challenges, spiders will fill the floor and allow you to take on enough at once to fulfill the objective, compared to normal where they are hiding on objects.
The best way to approach the two gauntlets is to complete both stages first, ensuring that you pick up all of the available equipment. Then with everything at your disposal, your strategy for both rooms will be the same.
Before starting the challenge, first, make sure that you have picked up all ammo for the cheese puffs, flamethrower can, and the C4 as possible. Find a tight, enclosed area that you will want to spread some cheese puffs onto the floor as this will attract a large majority of the spiders. On First Contact, the bathroom or the closet work well, and on Close Encounters, the short corridor to the level entrance is a good spot.
From here, start the challenge, and your aim is to keep replenishing the cheese puffs in the same positions, but in the meantime, keep filling up the entrance to the room with fire. You will not be hurt from it, and the cheese puffs will remain while the spiders all go straight for them through the fire. They will also then start to die out.
If you are getting close to the end and the remaining spiders that are on fire but not quite dead, either hit them with the clipboard or use the C4 charges to take them out. This should give you enough spiders to take down the challenge with ease. Upon completion, you should receive a pop up in the top right corner of the screen.
