Robert Pattinson is officially returning as the caped crusader! Amidst a slew of updates coming in from DC Studios, The Batman 2 is titled The Batman - Part II. The film is set to release on October 3, 2025.Matt Reeves The Batman is getting its highly anticipated sequel. Moreover, there are other titles in the "BatVerse" pipeline including The Penguin spin-off series led by Colin Farrell. Reeves is reportedly working on a "Batman Crime Saga". DC Studios co-head James Gunn revealed that The Penguin series will have a direct link with The Batman - Part II.
Gunn said, "Matt is working on [The Batman sequel], which he thinks of as a Batman Crime Saga, which also includes [The Penguin] series, and it is its own thing."
He added, "He came in and pitched us some amazing, really cool stuff the other day. So our plan is for that to continue."
Matt Reeves' The Batman arrived on March 4, 2022. Starring Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis and others, the film told the origin story of a young batman. It explored the Dark Knight in a neo-noir detective thriller that won much critical and fan acclaim.
The Batman - Part II will arrive in cinemas on October 3, 2025.
