Baraka African Cultural Center Programs & Reviews
Why Choose Baraka African Cultural Center?
The Swahili term "Baraka" translates to "blessings" in English, and we at Baraka believe that being part of our organization is a free gift from God. We aim to connect our beneficiaries, children, teenagers, and youth, with various purposes in life and nurture their passions for music, dance, and drama. By doing so, we hope to create responsible citizens who contribute positively to our communities. Our diverse group of children and youth, aged 5-25, come from different backgrounds and have been given an opportunity to explore life. At Baraka, we celebrate our shared humanity and cultural differences through music, dance, drumming, drama, and other forms of art. Our platform provides children and young people in difficult circumstances with a chance to discover and develop their potential, empowering them to become agents of change and leaders of today and tomorrow. Founder Martin Male's inspiration has led to the rehabilitation of vulnerable children and youth, giving them a sense of belonging, home, and hope for the future. At Baraka, we strive to promote positive change in our society by nurturing the potential of our future leaders.
